Rice up your life!

Geisha used to use rice bran to soften their skin and hair by bathing in the water left over from rinsing uncooked rice. They were definitely onto something – an antioxidant and natural emollient, rice helps protect from UV damage, nourishes the skin and prevents wrinkles. If you’re looking for a flawless complexion, rice is the key!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 2 – 3 tablespoons of rice
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
Preparation:
  1. Cook the rice in cold water; gradually, over medium heat.
  2. When it’s cooked, strain it. Save the liquid.
  3. Wash the boiled and drained rice in cold water, and add 1 tablespoon of warm milk in it. Stir and add 1 tablespoon of honey.
  4. Apply the mask to a cleansed face and neck.
  5. Leave it on your face for half an hour and rinse it with the liquid in which the rice has been cooked.
EXTRA TIPS: You can store the rice water in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Use it in the morning and evening as a facial toner or you can freeze it in ice molds, and use it to massage your face.
